Google Home randomly stops playing music according to owners – Tech2

Google Home is Google’s answer to Amazon’s Echo, in the sense that it mimics the table-top personal digital assistant. It has been a month since Home has started selling in the US and some owners are already reporting some discrepancies with the device. According to some Google Home owners, the device randomly stops playing music in the middle of playing a song. There is no reason known as to why this is happening

Google Home support forums have seen this question being posted from as early as last month, and there is still not fixed resolution in sight. According to some users, this problem occurs when you use voice commands to play a song or when Google Home is casting from a phone or PC. Even resetting the Home is not getting rid of the issue.

Bad Wi-fi or poor internet connections have also been ruled out by some users who claimed that their connection was fine when Home was running.

One user who has both Home and Echo, claims that the issue is only present with Home and Echo seems to be working fine on the same Wi-fi connection.

The best answer on this forum seems to be from a Google representative, which just says that they are still looking into the matter.
“We’re going to do further research on this matter, and I’ll be sure to keep you posted with the latest updates. Thanks for your patience.”
