The body of a man from Argyll who had been missing since the early hours of Wednesday has been found, police have confirmed.
HM Coastguard and the local mountain rescue team had joined police in the search for 19-year-old Alasdair McVicar around Dunoon.
His body was recovered from water in the Lochan area of the town on Friday afternoon.
Police Scotland said Mr McVicar’s family had identified the body.
Ch Insp Paul Robertson said: “It is with deep regret that we can confirm the recovery of Alasdair’s body and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.
“Our thanks go out to all partner agencies and members of the public for their efforts and assistance over the past two days.”
